I WON! (The online puzzle, anyway, not the Half Marathon...)

The fine folks over at ThinkGeek via Wired.com have a weekly puzzle in which they allow you the opportunity to win a prize if you correctly solve their logic puzzle - good practice for keeping your wits sharp.

I thought I'd give it a shot... and I WON!

Head over Pedro Vex vs. the Henchmen and check it out.  (And, as a shameless plug for one of the best websites out there, be sure to read all the great jazz on Wired.com.)

My First Half Marathon Tomorrow on Thanksgiving

Tomorrow, Thanksgiving morning, comes with an early 4.15am wake-up for the Atlanta Half Marathon! Not only my first half, but the longest run with Vicious Bastard to-date! (see below for more on him)

I'm psyched, and although I haven't had as much time to train as I would have liked, I know I won't be alone as my best pal and I will have a blast. We're cyclists by nature, so we aren't going to set any course records pounding the pavement. However, our clutch humor will be in ample supply to get us through the suck.

Oh, and if you have experience with Hammer Gel's Endurolytes, how would you recommend using throughout the race? Right about now is when I'm kicking my own ass for not incorporating more hill training or paying attention to a course, sheesh.

As promised, Vicious Bastard on my last run:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Spring is nigh! ...Trout hitting dry flies on the 'Hooch!

In celebration of Daylight Saving Time, I hit the 'Hooch for a little fishing last night and am estatic to announce that the caddis flies are hatching in plenty. What this means to us fly fisherpeeps is that the browns and rainbows have moved toward surface strikes opposed to subsurface.

So tie-on your dry flies and enjoy the delayed harvest! (Below is one of the lovely browns caught near Settle's Bridge last night.)
